In order to meet educational needs in our community, Troy and Ben have decided to hold intensive 5-week classes at Church of the Harvest and the campus of UNC.  Troy and Ben believe that 5 weeks is not too great of a commitment for either students or working adults and the two locations are meant to make the classes as accessible as possible to both Carrboro and UNC’s students.

Ben will be teaching a class on early Church history.  Spanning from the formation of the Christian scriptural cannon all the way to Augustine, the scope of the class is vast.  However, the purpose of the readings and subsequent discussions will be to ground our church in the memory of the Church and in doing so, Ben hopes that the church will be able to grasp a sense of its identity in God’s great story. The first 5 week course will be held on Sundays at 6:00 in Gardner 105.

At the same time, Troy will be teaching a class on the Apostles’ Creed, and the content of what is considered orthodox by all Christians. These will meet on Sundays at 6:00 at Church of the Harvest.

For those who are interested in both, the classes will switch locations mid-semester and repeat after the first run through, so you can pick your preferred location.
