Wallgroups – small groups – may be the most important aspect of Campus Crossroads, for it is here in the Wallgroups that we seek deeper relationships with Jesus and one another through exploring the Word and spending time together in a more intimate setting.
The book of Nehemiah in the Old Testament is the story of Nehemiah leading the Israelites to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem that had been destroyed. He inspires the residents of Jerusalem to rise up and build, so they did. There is something different though: the families started to repair the wall in front of their own homes (Neh. 2-3). This is the part of the wall that they had a personal stake in; a vested interest. We seek to do the same with our wall groups. These are to be groups of people with the same locations or vested interests rebuilding and fortifying their faith with one another.
